Laminators

Europlanters has been established for over 30 years and prides itself in the manufacturing of quality products, mainly planters for gardens, shopping centres, roof terraces and the like.
Due to continued expansion of orders we need experienced laminators. The right person will have previous Hand Lay experience with GRP and experience in finishing products to a high standard.
Laminators must be confident in laminating (hand lay application) and have the ability trim products.
You would be expected to work on your own initiative and work alongside your supervisor in order to the meet the varying day to day needs of our busy business.
There is a starting rate of pay and then excellent rates of pay negotiable depending on skills and experience. The hours will be 40 hours per week with overtime (paid at time and a half) a possibility.
This position will involve an element of lifting or moving of light loads therefore you will need to be reasonably physically fit.
It would also be beneficial if candidates can use a spray gun as you may be needed in other areas of the factory from time to time.

Finishers

Within the company we are looking to recruit candidates for the role of finishers, to complement the existing, large team of skilled laminators, mould makers, trimmers & finishers at our workshop location in Stockport.
This job would suit someone who is skilled in trimming  and buffing GRP products or experienced in joinery.

The role involves the following duties:

Learning to identify different types of wood / timber and their uses, choosing the right piece for a job.
Receiving timber orders and correctly storing it.

Preparing and coating timber ready for assembling
Working alongside trainee joiners and fitters supporting them in their role.
Packing goods to go out to customers

The role will develop into a trainee joiner where further training will be given:
Measuring and marking wood according to technical designs

Assisting with the control of materials within the workshop.

Producing cutting lists.
Understanding and working to technical drawings
.
Assisting to make masters and moulds.

Using hand tools working up to cutting wood on machines. (full training will be given)

Working to production schedules and budgets.

Conducting quality checks on supplies and finished products

An opportunity has opened to join our friendly, fast growing team as a warehouse operative. We are currently recruiting for a day shift,  warehouse operative to help us pack and palletise orders. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

Job responsibilities:
Picking stock for orders.
Packaging, labelling and packing stock for orders.
Palletising planters and loading delivery vehicles.
Taking deliveries /receiving goods and storing them correctly.
Ensuring the warehouse remains clean and tidy.
A can do attitude.
Proficient in both written and spoken English.
Must be aged over 18 years.

Experience of working in a warehouse in the last 12 months essential.
High level of attention to detail.
Good timekeeping.
Forklift truck licence / Driver
40 hours a week between Monday – Friday 7am – 5pm. Overtime available.

Employed Van Driver

This role is a permanent role and additional opportunities are available for the right person.

Your duties will include:

  • Driving a long wheel based Sprinter van for local and long-distance work (deliveries mainly around London)
  • Handballing planters (lightweight)
  • Packing a long wheel based Sprinter van
  • Maintaining all health and safety standards
  • Vehicle checks
  • Keeping your vehicle clean and tidy at all times

The successful driver will have:

  • Clean diving licence
  • Can do attitude

  • Minimum 12 months experience of long distance driving

Estimators

Are you an estimator looking for an opportunity to learn the industry within a growing business?
Due to further expansion of our well established company manufacturing planters, we are looking to recruit an estimator to join our busy team based in Bredbury, Stockport.
This is an exciting position that will suit a candidate with excellent IT skills, competent in math and a good team player with attention to detail.
The position is full time (40 hours per week).

Responsibilities will include:
Supporting a team of estimators producing quotations from architectural drawings, specifications and/or BoQs.
Completing a variety or accurate new, revision and copy quotations.
Delivering outstanding service to all customers. Liaising with customers and other internal departments to clarify project requirements.
Providing an efficient chaser service to sales.
Working with various internal departments including sales, customer service, manufacturing and despatch.
Working as part of a team but able to use own initiative.
Carrying out any other tasks that may be necessary for the smooth running of the department.

Essential skills:
Excellent IT skills with a strong attention to detail. The ability to multi-task. The ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines excellent problem solving skills.
Ongoing training will be given on the estimating software and products. The ideal candidate must be proficient in IT and able to pick things up quickly.
Excellent mathematical skills (A Level or excellent GCSE grade).

Desirable skills:
Able to use SketchUp and other CAD type programmes.
Background in Engineering/Manufacturing and or Estimating.
Good knowledge of Landscape / Garden design.
